What is an IRA-Qualified Charitable Distribution?
An IRA qualified charitable distribution is a distribution directly from your IRA to a qualified charity.
Beginning with the year you turn age 70 ½, you may be looking for ways to reduce your income and taxes from IRA withdrawals. By taking advantage of the IRA qualified charitable distribution (QCD), you may be able to meet these goals and support Great Parks.
QCDs can also count towards satisfying an individual’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year, which is the minimum amount that an individual must withdraw from their IRA each year once they reach age 73.
Benefits of an IRA qualified charitable distribution:
- Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions.
- Meet your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.
- Avoid paying taxes on transfers up to $100,000 to benefit Great Parks Forever.
- Build a personal legacy with Great Parks.
